Sounds like he is "on fire for the Lord" and you haven't reached that point , yet. It sounds like he is protecting himself and rightly so. Whether we know it or not all the junk on t.v., Internet, environment, etc, comes in through our senses. It further taints and corrupts us. Maybe your fiance is just now realizing this. I don't know. You either serve God or serve your fleshly desires of the world, but not both.
I'm not familiar with the CD-set you mentioned. So I cannot comment on it. You're not going to agree on everything. I do know that you both deciding to renew your faith in the Lord can only help your marriage, not hurt it.
It is true that many things are labeled Christian, but are not. That is why we are to read the Bible and pray to God. In doing so it becomes quite easy to discern what is Christian and what is not.

LOL of course not!
I've been a Christian for many many years and I listen to country music, I watch movies of all kinds, I'm currently reading The Three Muskateers (never knew it was a comedy lol), I like playing board games and bicycling and all sorts of junk like that.
The only thing you need to be careful of is what goes into your mind. Watching porno or true horror movies is probably not a good idea, or listening to music with a definate non-God theme to it (I'd qualify rap music for that, but I truly don't know for sure, I just don't like it, it gives me a headache lol)
You fiance is going overboard and that's a sure way to get burn-out. While it's true that God should be the central theme of your life, the human mind is not capable of sustaining constant thought on one subject. So relax and watch something else for awhile!

You do not have to do everything Christian but rather watch hear anything with a Christ-like ear. I don't think that Christian music sounds any better or any worse than secular music but that Christian music is generally more uplifting (through lyrics and beats). There are even secular artists that have some good songs lyrically. There are some things that aren't good for Christians to be watching on TV or movies (Sex [it's not your wife or husband], Cussing, etc...).

NO! Jesus fought against traditions when he came and if Jesus Christ came today he would throw them money changers people out of his house again. You find people doing Christian things many times for the love of money not love of GOD.
Show me this in the Bible and I will agree with him. The Bible says all things in moderation, not all things in Christianity. Besides Christians have too many idols to be calling themselves Chrsitian. You have given us but one example how Christians think they are doing God a service without it being the will of God.
Yes you should try and keep your mind on God as much as possible, but Christian rock n Roll, Christian board games, Christian music, and Christian Idols are not Christian many times.
Many such Christians stories are just plain bad, many movies about Jesus make him seem like a mordern day hippie, also none are correct according to the Bible, because they try to hard to please too many religions rather than be what happened.
Did you know Jesus was totally nude on the cross, how many stories can deal with that, how many crosses have you seen with Jesus naked, but yet people still make Jesus put some clothes on because nobody wants to see a naked Jesus on a cross.

I think that he may be getting deep in to it. It may be a sign of his excitement to renew his faith. Don't worry though, I'm sure he'll be back to normal soon. And as long as you live a good Christian life you can still enjoy life. Watch movies you want to see, and listen to music you want.

I don't that that is necessarily true. I think the goal is to honor God in all that you think, say and do and reflect His love in the world we live in - in other words, live with integrity.
That is helpful to me in chosing what I watch on tv or movies, what music I listen to. I can have a glass of wine or beer, or a drink - but I will not loose control and get drunk. Get the idea?
We just have to live a life pleasing and honoring to God.

Everything is permisable but not everything is benefical. You can drink, eat listen whatch what you want. Each persons faith varies in strength so its not up to us to judge. Clearly there are things that dishonor God and should be avoided. Your boyfriend zeal is admirable.
