A certain Mr Hitler once wrote 'There will be peace on Earth when the last man is standing over the dead body of the second to last man'.
(He certainly made his bid to bring about world peace, didn't he!)
On a less cynical note, there are two major obstacles to Peace - nationalism and religion. All inequalities and irrational hatreds seem to ultimately derive from these sources. Until we grow out of these mindsets, I think it is impossible.

Yes, God made a Covanant with his people to return Jesus and his return would give humanity 1000 years of peace ---
I'm still pondering what time is and don't comprehend what this means ... If God is the Alpha (beggining) and Omega (end) ... and all inbetween ... how does God measure time??? On Earth, we've broken stuff into units (Days, weeks, years, decades) ... but we're basing all this on the Sun ... obviously, God's unit of measurment isn't based on the Sun since he spans the Universe ... very mysterious dude God is ... the more I know, the more questions I have.
Some scientists claim that the "Big Bang" is the center of all --- while other scientists claim there was no big bang, and that space is just space with no rhyme or rhytem.
Dunno ... 1000 years of Peace is very mysterious to me ... but God did promise this to his people.

Yes but not until the human race has been wiped out by whatever means, an asteroid, the next ice age or whatever it will be. The world will never be at peace with humans on it.

The world cannot give us real peace. Only in God we have real peace. Jesus says that the peace he gives is not like the peace the world gives.

No. "Heavens and Earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away". " I did not come so they might have peace. I came to bring division. A man will be against his son and a woman against her daughter. Two will be in a field, one will be taken and the other one left....." This world will be an arena until the end.

With any more than 1 religion in the world, there will always be war. Religion does after all start all conflict.

Not in the system that we know today, but I believe it will die out and be replaced by a world of unselfishness. Or maybe I've been listening to John Lennon's 'Imagine' too much

Antichrist will come under a banner of "peace", and deceive many. Only Jesus Christ can save your soul, look to Him and be saved. Peace with God is more important than "peace on earth", as if you're some Miss America contestant.

This hope can ONLY be be realized fully when the Prince of Peace returns to set it up. Sadly, not until then.
