It's not insanity, it's self-delusion. We actually believe in some little corner of our minds that we can enlighten some of them and bring just a small amount of clarity and sense to the otherwise foggy and credulous. I know, we're wrong, but we just can't help trying.

Why would that be insane? As a hard-core believer, I have no problem listening to your side of the discussion and learning from what you have to say.
That doesn't mean I'm giving up my own beliefs, but it also doesn't mean that I can't enjoy a good debate, either. It's possible to believe strongly in something and still be capable of listening to and being respectful of what someone else thinks.

It's fun watching the god-tards cringe when slapped with a healthy dose of reality.

Of course, but it's like a cat playing with a mouse it's caught.
You know you've won, you just wanna have a little fun with it.

Yes and I avoid it off the board because it is pointless. I am mostly making my points to the fence sitters that what to read both side. The more outrageous they are, the better we look.

Insanity is approaching them to talk about it. I don't.
Assault is when they approach me to talk about it. They do.
If some godbot starts spewing his crap, he's going to get an earful of facts. Nothing shuts them up or makes them leave than someone more well armed with evidence than they are with lies.

Its only insane when they are trying to push their religion on us. A healthy conversation about religion, in order to broaden people's minds, is a good thing....no matter what religion you are.

Yes...it's a useless argument. I've had conversations where I asked them questions.
"Do you believe the bible word for word?"
"Yes"
"Do you believe that god created the world is 7 days?"
"Yes"
"Do you believe the world is 6 thousand years old"
"Yes"
"Then I have no more to say to you..."
When you find a person like this, it's hopeless

Don't worry, I still love you even though you're hard-core non-believers.
insanity: Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
--Maybe we should start practicing what we preach more, eh?
I think so anyway.
