Have you tried excercising before bed? If not, that might be something you could try to help you find a way to relax before bedtime. Also do not drink anything with caffeine. Do not watch TV in bed and try to go to bed at the same time every night. If you are laying there awake in bed maybe it would be better for you to get up and go in the living room and try reading a little then go back and try to sleep again. If this persists maybe you should talk to your Dr.

No caffeine at all (soda, coffee, tea) and more calcium. Try not to eat anything between dinner and bedtime. Get some exercise every day, but don't exercise or do anything too strenuous a couple of hours before bedtime because adrenaline'll keep you awake, too.

Get into a regular bedtime/awake time schedule, even if you're not falling asleep right away. Wake up and get out of bed at the same time every day, even if you don't feel like it or need to. All that helped me when I was having trouble falling asleep ~~ especially cutting caffeine and getting more calcium.

I usually take a long walk on my treadmill about 30 minutes before bed. I dont walk too fast but fast enough to get tired a bit. I go to bed more relaxed, usually fall asleep in short order and almost always sleep through the night. Good dreams.

One thing that might help is if you drink some milk close to the time when you want to go to bed.

Also, turkey makes you sleepy. I mean, eating Turkey.

And, if you exercise vigorously a few hours before bedtime, you will be very tired, and it will help you go to sleep quicker.

Caligirl sounds like someone I know. I have the same problem you do and also would like some suggestions. So far sex is the only thing I've found that helps.
