different meaning than it does today? --as in, did it ever mean something like "thinking and doing" as opposed to the word "think"s meaning today?
To put things in context, I am looking at phlippians 4:8 and how this verse is often used as a pretext for positive visualization in new agey and positive thinking circles.

The word was "δοκέω" (transliterated) "DOKEO." It meant both to think and to judge. It can also be translated as "it seems" or "to be inclined toward."
