ok, I've been freinds with this guy for years now. We have the most amazing friendship I have every had. Some time ago we began cuddling, nothing more. I realized I thought of him in more than a friend manner, and told him (I was drunk). He eventually told me he was worried about damaging the friendship we had, he said he was worried I'd be disappointed in him, or that he'd hurt me. He made it really clear that he doesn't want to jeopardize what we do have, and I DO agree. It would be far worse to NOT have him in my life, than keep it "just friends"... Here's the dilema... Last week it occurred to me that I am actually in love with him. I will NOT tell him that, but I'm now having a hard time being near him, because it hurts... Can a man and a woman every really just be friends? And what do I do now? I want to hang out with him still, but it's very hard knowing I can't have him...

Yes. You can be friends. He obviously cares about you and doesn't want to hurt you. The best thing to do would be totally honest about how you feel. Be prepared if he doesn't feel the same way, though. But once you leave the "friends" room the door locks behind you and there's no going back.

Don't drink when you are with him , you are a little confused right now and this may lead to other things that can make it even more confusing.Yes there can be a friendship between a man and a woman but there need to be a respect and a limit in your afections.
I don't think you are in love with him keep been her friend and don't act on instinct use your reason and think of the consecuences.Don't see him as often the confusion will go away.Hang out with other people remember he is a man and they usually are very drown to sex so is up to you be strong this will pass...............good luck.

Okay, here's the deal. You already let the cat out of the bag, so it's going to become awkward anyway. You two have slim odds of making it as friends or a couple, so you may as well go for it. If you're in love with him, make a move, and if it blows up in your face, well...it probably would have anyway. If it works out, you made the right decision. It's always bad to love someone and pretend you don't. You're only going to hurt yourself by watching him with someone else, so it doesn't really matter if he hurts you. It's painful either way.
