I did the online dating thing for about a year and was about to give up - but then I met my true love on yahoo personals. So it does happen .... but I don't think it is common.

Anything's possible, but I think it's very unlikely.
I believe fate already has picked your soulmate before your even born and when the time and place are right, you will meet.
Since on-line dating has become an option, more and more people are hooking up. If they're worth while or not, who knows.
What I do know is that marriage has gone to crap and divorces are as common as taxes. Could superficial "get-it-now" devices such as singles chat-rooms be to blame?

I think it's possible, but not likely. It's also difficult to get to know someone on-line b/c the only information that you have to work with is what they choose to reveal. Can you imagine someone on-line telling you they have a criminal history, illegitimate chn., or have committed sexual assaults. Reputation and character are important things to know about a person prior to revealing anything about yourself. The picture they post with their profile could even be someone else. If on-line dating wasn't such a risk why would there be a show on dateline about catching predators. If you do decide to try on-line dating make sure your expectations are realistic. Decide that you'll be friends first if nothing else.

Yes it is possible!! I used "eHarmony" and after a few near misses I found the lady I have been waiting my entire life for!! The main thing is to remember to answer the introductory/personal questions honestly. If you tell what you think others want to hear, then don't be surprised if you never get the person you are really looking to meet. Good luck!

Definitely!!!
I met my wife online. The world is a big place and the internet has brought a lot of people together. We are very happy, and life is too short not to be. There is a new website, www.varietybride.com. It is free for single women to put their photo and information about themselves and men can connect with them for free. Maybe it is a good option for you. Check it out, give it a chance. Maybe you too will meet your soul mate online.
Good Luck!!

I believe that it is possible. My cousin met his wife on Yahoo! personals. They had a great big wedding and now they have a baby. He definitely met the love of his life online. They are very lucky! I also know a work-colleague who met his wife online. They also had a great wedding and now they too, have a baby. So... I think that it IS possible. Good luck!

that is not for me
the women i've seen post on those things
have a mindset that is contingent
to financials and diamond rings
or they're stuck on societal normalcy
searching for prince charming
embellishing what they want love to be
which can be quite alarming
then you're expected to pay
twenty bucks a month to talk to them
and they rarely ever like to play
at least not in the way i do
