Yes....nice subject.

Cosmos means:
The universe regarded as an orderly, harmonious whole.
An ordered, harmonious whole.
Harmony and order as distinct from chaos.

I think she means that man is an individual thinker when left to his own devices and thoughts, and changed when he becomes part of the 'mob' mentality that controls our nation, as well as the world around us.
