I don't know who uses crackers, but the hosts used in the Holy Catholic Church are simply unleavened bread. We probably wouldn't dispose of them in the garbage, simply because of what their intended use is. Still, until they are consecrated during the Mass they are just bread, nothing more. After the consecration they are to be treated the same way you would treat Jesus Christ Himself, for that is Whom they have become. The appropriate ways to dispose of any sacred material are burning or burial.

Until they are blessed by the priest, they are just crackers, not the body of the Christ. You can snack on them in front of the TV.

Unless you are Catholic, just drop them in the garbage. To worry about it would be legalism, and not trusting in Jesus.

Rom 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because [he eateth] not of faith: for whatsoever [is] not of faith is sin.

Serve them with chili, soup, or clam chowder. They work just as well as regular crackers.

They give me gas though. Well, it may be the chili, but who knows.
