Ok here is the thing--My cat is already fat---big belly and all. We have had her since before thanksgiving--She eats ALOT--anyway I have tried to check for things cause she acted really funny for 2 days but seems to be better. Eating habits are fine. I have felt for big nipples--she doesnt have big nipples--heck I have a hard time finding them. She is back acting normal--There are days I have to make her go outside--She hates outside and stays around the house all times. I have an appointment to get her spayed as She is a stray but whoever had her took really good care of her so she may already be--not for sure. Anyway her belly is alittle firm but has always been like that--Is there any other way to tell? I dont now if I need to get ready for kitten or not--please give me some GOOD advice. Thanks!!

There's no way to know for certain besides taking her to the vet. This site has some tips for figuring it out, but only the vet can say for sure.

But you said you are taking your cat to the vet to have her spayed. They can still do this if your cat is pregnant, and the kittens will just be aborted.

No there is nothing you can do beside spay the cat. Since the neighbors won't take responsibility for their animal and you have, take responsibility. Get the cat spayed. The only other alternative is to take the cat to a shelter. There are no-kill shelters in most larger communities where the cat will get the medical care it needs, a chance at a caring home and it will get spayed. Cats run away all the time. If you choose to take the cat to a shelter, do not tell your neighbors.

Cut back on the food, and don't free feed. Put the food down and only feed twice a day. Take her to the VET

You would have to ask a vet....sorry, but FYI cats usually have litters of kittens. Not just one. 6 or 7 maybe. Just so you know.

feel your cats belly and give it a soft squeeze if you feel hard lumps in the belly the cat is prego. If not your cat isn't

If she doesn't look or taste like pasta sauce, she's probably not prego.
