In a vacuum, the distance isn't a huge problem. My fiancee and I will have lived 14 hours apart for over a year once we get married (we're then going to live together, of course). It's not like I really even have a choice-- he's my soulmate, and doing anything but being with him would be ridiculous.

If you and your boyfriend are getting ready to go to college, though, that could be a different story, as a lot of younger people want to experiment and try new people/things when they get on their own. It really depends on your relationship and whether you think you'll be happier with or without each other.

Going away to college changes people. He's going to meet a LOT of new young women. I just don't believe a long distance relationship in your situation would work out.

Could work but honestly I really think there is no point! You can't spend time with eachother, make memories or even have any affection towards eachother! Talking on the phone is just not enough! somehow couples in a long distance relationship end up breaking up! especially if he's going away for college!

I wouldn't bother with a long distance relationship, but I am more a realist than a romantic...
