In middle school, I remembered that almost every kid would make these four-cornered oragamy toys from paper - and kids would play with them, and they unfolded to reveal a "secret" after each turn. Does any one remember what they are called???? I'm trying to think of the name, or a website to go to they shows how to make them.

dont know the name but we used to tell "fortunes" with them.

you start with a square piece of paper, fold it from one point to another diagonally, press on crease, unfold and fold from the other point to the opposite corner, press on crease and unfold.

Next fold each corner in to the center point and crease (leave folded) and make sure folded parts dont overlap.

turn paper over so that the flaps are on the bottom and again fold each point in to the center and crease.

Turn paper over again and now put your fingers in the little pockets so that the middle of each inner fold meets.

Fold flat then you can turn over and write your "fortune" inside

This will show you a video of how to make the little paper game I believe you're referring to: http://www.associatedcontent.com/video/878/origami_game_for_young_girls.html

It will take a minute to load the video... so be patient :)
