If you want the pup to have a heart attack by the time he hits 6 then yes go ahead.
Steak is full of a lot of fat that is not intended for a dogs stomach.
Adult dog food is bad for puppies so can you imagine what a steak would do?
Dogs are pets that live off DOG food, they are not wolves that hunt for raw meat.
My bf's dog was brought up being fed scraps off the dinner table and now he won't even touch dog food, he'll just sit around until he gets human food. And yes he is very over-weight.
I wouldn't advise it, am sure it will do a lot of damage and only cause more problems later on in your dogs life.

It depends on how old and how big the puppy is - and how big the steak is! Give a young puppy a large piece of steak when it's only used to one type of food & it will have an upset tummy. An older puppy who is used to different types of food should be fine. It should be raw not cooked though.
Meat is dog food!!

Well no its not bad for him, its what dogs where meant to eat, meat. But if you don't wish to continue, simply don't, if he doesn't eat his puppy food for dinner, put it away for about an hour and try again, if he still doesn't eat it, use that meal for breakfast, but this day don't feed him lunch or feed him a small portion (Which I would do, him being young still) and try again with dinner, he will get hungry enough to eat his own food.

would you give a baby a steak?wait until it has its proper teeth and then if you want to treat it to a steak just a little bit but if you never give it to him he will never miss it try chicken if you want to feed your dog meat but dog food is best as its made for them ie all the right stuff,as far as dried or tinned its down to the owner i use dried but when i was a kid and i had a dog you could only get tinned food and biscuit mixer and dogs didn't die any younger so dried or tinned but adding some veg wont hurt and even rice that's fine to

You can give a puppy steak only if it is cut up and mixed with puppy chow.

Steak is fine if the pup is old enough to shred and swallow it. If he's already chewing things up around the house then he's old enough to have a meat treat. Don't make steak meals a habit, once in a while is fine, but a constant diet like that is doing him no favors. above all NO BONES in the steak, the bone in a T Bone can splinter and perforate the intestines and kill your dog..any dog..within hours.
remember ...treat not meal.

You really can't. There teeth aren't sharp enough to really chew through a steak just yet. And its much healthier to buy puppy food that is like Pedigree or something so it has all the nutrients and other vitimens for the growing puppy.

Bad idea.
Maybe a little treat-sized piece of *organic* steak, but a puppy is not a young wolf. All the toughness has been bred out of that digestive system!

You shouldn't give steak to a puppy, leave it until it gets a little older, then I am sure he will appreciate it.

The only time you should feed a dog of any age a steak is if you normally feed a BARF (bones and raw food) diet. Red meat isn't unhealthy for dogs, however, domesticated dogs who are not used to eating raw foods will get upset stomachs if they're suddenly being fed raw food, which generally causes diarrhea.
You should never feed cooked and seasoned meat or other table scraps. Much of the seasoning includes things that can make dogs very sick - garlic powder and onions, for example.
