More importantly, he gave a good message that was behind them:
Mattheew 24:37-39
"For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be.
And also a quote from Jesus that would affirm the belief in 'the rapture'--apart from the biblical verse "The true followers of the Lord shall meet him in the air":
Mat 24:40-41
"Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left."
Do you believe a lot of the things Jesus said were true and good morals to live by?

Did you know that I loath all questions that start with the words "Did you know..."?
Also, did you know that I don't care if (in the bible) Jesus said that the Adam and Eve story are true and the Noah story is true? I think that believing in the Noah's Ark or the Adam and Eve stories can attest to someone’s INABILITY to think.
_______________-
Typo:
I meant inability not ability lol

Don't be mad, I'm just trying to teach you to think because I care about you. ;-) Just because you don't like my answer doesn't mean you have to wine about it.

Did you know:
The greeks had a very similar flood story that came about long before the chrsitian version was supposed to have happened.
That if you compare the lives of Jesus and Socrates, they both had similar messages, and tried to accomplish the same thing.
Did you know the Pharoah of Egypt was originally considered a god because he could command the Nile to flood the lands every year.
Did you know that most of the "gods" of the world have been explained out of existence. We now know why the Nile flooded, the sun rises, the moon's path and why it orbits earth. We understand lightening, thunder, and why fire works as it does. The only reason there are religions out there is because there are two main questions that will never be answered. How did all this start? And, what happens after you die?

Well, according to the links between Noah's flood and this "Rapture"... the one taken would be the one to die... Like the flood "taking away" the people who were still partying. Noah was not "raptured" to a safe place.... he was still on earth, going right thru it all. He just heeded the warning. So, if it's anything like the time of Noah, it would seem to me that no one is going anywhere and those that are taken away, are the one's who don't Endure.

Call all the wire services and report this. The New York Times and Washington Post missed this news. How did that ever happen?

And even more important than that, did you know that the whole thing was made up including the part where Jesus said those stories were true.

There are truths other than the literal. Jesus speaks of the profound truth of God's power, God's providence and God's love using those parts of the OT which would illustrate them best to His audience.

Another great truth about scripture......
Even Jesus Himself quoted from the Law (Old Testament). After all....He wrote it. More proof that it is not contradictory to itself.
May God be praised......
