Genesis 2:7
7 the LORD God formed the man [e] from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
Genesis 2:22
22 Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib [j] he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
there u have it, men created FROM DIRT, women FROM RIB.

no phoenix not inconsistancies in the bible, but inconsistancies with what man percieve the bible says, and with what the bible actually says.

Your question is what the significance of this is?
(I said this last question in the most confusing way i thought possible)
It is a description not a prophecy. If I tell you that your brain is made with 80% water (it is not an insult, human brains have a lot of water), does that mean I think your brain is worth no more than water? It is a description, a fact, not something to read between the lines with.
Please, when you want to ask a question that is this easy, e-mail me directly, so that you don't have to waste 10 points on something this insignificant.

God created Heaven and Earth and all things unto it. Everything on earth and in the heavens has a purpose and we have created things from the earth and the Heavens. When we die, we are returned to the earth -- ashes to ashes, dust to dust, and since God created us from dust, then until the earth disappears we will have eternal life because we are the beginning and the end of all human inhabitance. Whatever form we take from the ashes or dust is life -- even the dust itself. Think about it. It's a never ending cycle. birth, life, death, -- we grow seeds in dust, we harvest our food, we breathe the air from trees and plants and the plants use our waste to breathe and live. We feed the worms and fertilize the ground with our remains and our genes become part of plants, earth, fire, or whatever. We never die because some part of use lives on to promote another form of life or even to promote the development of other humans via some genetic "food" derived from what God has given us. FAITH!

They say there were 2 creations. The first was where man was created from nothing. The second took place on day 8 where God created Adam and put him in the garden of Eden.

The Bible is a book of writings written by men thousands of years ago. It is a book of religion, it is not a book of science. The Bible contradicts itself, uses metaphor, tells stories, distorts history, gets basic things wrong. As a book of religion, those things do not matter. If, however, you are trying to say that the Bible is literally true in everything it says, you are going to have a great deal of difficulty dealing with those things I have mentioned.

I dont understand what you really want to know--those verses speak for themselves. God made man first, from the ground, and breathed into him to give him breath---God can do anything remember?
Then He DECIDED to make a woman from the man's ribs. This was God's way. What is there to question?

"We" weren't biblically created from nothing. I rose from the code which was established by chemical reactions. All hail the code. Metaphysical debates are neither winnable nor entirely amusing especially when the pro and con cannot decide to stay on subject and must digress into semantics.

Don't take that person's opinion too far. If it doesn't align with the word, it ain't right.
