Money is no issue, but I think a regular wedding dress would look stupid on the beach, and we're trying to avoid the typical trappings of traditional weddings, while still making our day special.

Check out watters.com. I'm also having an informal outdoor wedding, though not on the beach. I wanted something that wouldn't drag the ground and get messy, so I chose their bridal dress style 9047B. They also have neat white bridesmaid dresses that could still be used as wedding dresses.

This website has some nice informal dresses for tropical weddings: http://www.pjmaxltd.com/

Also, most bridesmaids dresses can be ordered in white or off white. That can be a good option for an informal dress.

For my wedding that was on the beach in Florida, I ended up going to a bridal boutique and buying a lightweight dress that was a little more formal than I originally planned on. I just really loved the dress when I tried it on!

What I think, lady, is that you should get a wedding dress that is knee-high. This will make it easy to walk around in the outdoors, but still be formal with a nice white wedding dress. When you see the dress of your dreams, get it. Good Luck!

Try jcrew.com. Currently on their website they have 2 dresses over $1,000 and 4 dress under $400. The 4 dresses under $400 are casual and full length dresses that are casual. Also try Nordstroms.com. Both websites are listed below.

Most of the bridal shops carry informal dresses, they have them for the destination weddings or look at Bridesmaid dresses or Prom dresses....or just a regular deptartment store.

I would try department stores and stores like jcrew, banana republic, and ann taylor...I bought a really cute white halter dress for my post-wedding party on sale for $60 from j.crew. I didnt see anything there now, but if you check out a couple different sites and try again later you might find something! good luck!
