If money is no object...how about a romantic vacation? Whatever he/she likes...new skiing/snowboarding gear or dancing lessons together.

Last year, my husband took me to my favorite bookstore....I bought whichever books looked good...handed them all over to him and left. Never knew how much I spent there. Probably more than our car payment. I loved every second. He doesn't care for browsing bookstores, and he didn't rush me, didn't hassle...it was perfect.

Once, we went to the animal shelter and picked out a beautiful lab mix together. We've had her over 10 years now. :)

I've never really cared for the chocolates/jewelry, and if it's flowers, I'd rather they had the roots attached.

Don't stress...just think of what the other person likes to do.

My girlfriend dropping her clothes after we exchanged things, o wait that didnt happen yet. I just found out, that I have never had a girlfriend during Valentine's Day :) haha. Its usually before or after. I guess I just don't care really, its a commercialized holiday just like Christmas. However, it is the only one day, men are truly allowed to suck up.

well since im a guy i dont really get presents, but what ive done before is cook for them. the best way to a woman's heart is her stomach.. i dont really know if thats true though, anyways... candles, outdoors, rose petals the works! if you do all of that, she'll know that you put your heart into it. its a cheap way but they'll love it. i guess women love a man that can cook for them, so just throw in flowers, candles and candy and youve got yourself a nice v-day present.

A gift that shows you have been listening to your partner.
For example, I mentioned one time to my husband that I would love to learn to knit. A few months later he gave me a kit that included a book (with special instructions for lefties like me.)
I was so touched that he recalled my off-hand comment and remembered.
Happy Valentine's Day!

I like this idea:
When she comes home from work/store/ect. she walks in the house to find ballons, each one leading into the bedroom. She has to pop each one to get a little love note (poem in order or sayings) describing his love for her. By the time she reaches the bedroom there is a candle lit bubble bath wating for him to pamper her with. If that doesn't get her heart, I don't know what will!

In the beginning of my relationship, my guy simply asked, "Are you afraid to fly?"

My heart pounded and my pulse went wild. I was never more excited in my life. He took me on a vacation. I'll never forget the way he worded telling me about it.
