Provide more dry food as it helps clean their gums. Also, some cat toys are meant to promote tooth cleanliness (they're usually rubbed tipped and soft). What I do is rub a tiny bit of catnip directly on it and my kitten goes insane. Don't overdo it though heh
Additionally, if nothing else helps, get one of those slip-on finger toothbrushes for pets, some pet tooth paste and clean his teeth. He might not like it though so you'll need help but if you do it a couple of times a week it might help it a lot.

Hi there...generally, when a cat exhibits bad breath it could be a result of either periodontal, kidney, respiratory or liver disease to diabetes, skin disease (involving tissue around the lips) or oral trauma, such as electric cord injury. However, by far, the most common problem associated with bad breath is periodontal disease. All which will require a veterinarian's evaluation to treat respectively.

could be the type of food/ kibbles. could be early kidney disease OR bad teeth. could be that there isnt fresh water put out each day for kitty drink. if its All the time stinky, best to get into a vet so they can do a mouth exam. there IS a type of enzyme Tooth paste that you dont need to brush the cat mouth *which is Cruel' they just lick the paste up and it works in the mouth.

They have doggie toothpaste and tooth brushes I am sure they should have the same for cats you could try that or ask your vet it possibly can be caused from a medical condition. My cats breaths arent the greatest, but usually just smells like their food.. good luck.....

At the registers at PetSmart and stores like that they have cat breathmints. They are flavored like chicken so your cat will eat them. They come in a pink box and are called PitrPat. My cat has terrible breath too, so I feel your pain.

Taking him to the vet to have his teeth cleaned could solve his (and your) problem. Bad breath may be caused by tartar or some other dental complaint.

Brush his teeth. They make brushes and toothpastes for that. Inaddition, have the vet check his teeth it may be time for a dental. Has he ever had one before? His teeth could literally be rotting out of his mouth if you havent' been careful.

for dogs they have these "BreathBuster" cookies. They work on my dog, if he has bad breath (usually from sleeping all day).
i'm sure they have something similar for cats.
Good luck!
