salaam aleikum wa rahmatullah anno,
its the same on both sides.
There are Arabs/Muslims who hate Americans but then there are those who like them. And some of the Arabs/Muslims who hate Americans are willing to commit violence on them.
then there are Americans who hate Arabs/Muslims and then there are those who like them. And some of the Americans who hate Arabs/Muslims are willing to commit violence on them.
both sides who generalize a whole group of people for the actions of a few are wrong.
You should stop saying that the terorrists are not Muslims. This does nothing to help solve the problem of the FACT that there are those who say they are Muslim and are terrorists.
Their terrorist ideoligies and violence are agaisnt the teachings of Islam, but these people really do believe they are Muslim and they believe they are fighting for the cause of Islam. That is why many of them pray and say words like "Bismillah" and "Allahu Akbar" right before their violence.
do most of us Muslims agree with the terrorists? no, of course not! But when there is a terrorist act that happens, saying "oh, those terrorists aren't Muslim" does nothing. We need to be out there condemning the actions and getting our voices heard to the terrorists that we are not with them and that what they are doing is against Islam.

Many American's have a hard time distinquishing the term Islam from terrorist. They tend to unintentionally think terrorist when people say muslium or Islam. American's also have a fear of what they do not understand
They need good Muslium's to know so they can come to understand that comparing Muslium with terrorist is like someone who doesn't understand American's deciding that all American's are like Britney Spears
Many say that the media is saying Allah Akbar is threatening to abolish Israel and that has them worried.

I'm sure there are some Americans who hate Muslims. Most people hate some one and some of them hate anyone different from themselves. Rest assured that that is not true of all of us.
I believe that prejudice for any reason except personal behavior (by that I mean aggression, etc.,) is wrong. People should be judged by who they are, not what they look like. I think people are still a little scared since 9/11 and don't know who to trust. I also think it normal to distrust Muslims until you get to know them. However, I don't necessarily think it is right. I'm sure that most Muslims are not terrorists and I hope you don't suffer from the prejudices of those people who still believe they are.

Hate?, well no...It's not true.
Am I alone? No, Actually, I am in the majority of Americans.
I (or should I say We!) are greatly disappointed, and disturbed that there has been so little condemnation of the Fanatical factions of Your religion, from the "Main stream" Islamic community. If there were any other religion who's followers were behaving, acting, and indoctrinating like the Fanatical Islamic groups are....There would be large scale condemnation from everyone, even those from inside their own religion. I just don't understand why there isn't such a thing from inside Islam!?!?!
I myself am not a religious man. I do however, believe everyone should be allowed to practice, and or believe whatever it is that they want to.....without the threat of others basically saying "Join Us and believe in our God, or Die!"
Until the Islamic community "Polices" it's own, and condemns their murderous acts against innocents, there will be bloody conflict to try to eliminate them.
T.S.

I can only speak for myself. No, I do not hate muslims. I don't care if you use Allah. I think the biggest problem with this whole situation is that Americans never see Muslims who are against Terrorism. We never see any speak out (except those who live in America - but I hear that Middle Eastern Muslims don't consider them True Muslims)

Is it true that there are a lot of Muslims who hate Americans? I don't mean this as inflammatory; it is sincere. In your life experience, do you hear this a lot from your fellow Muslims or in your society/culture in general?
I can't speak for all Americans, but I know, despite what you hear, that not all Muslims are terrorists.
We also know, however, that the terrorists who have attacked us are all Muslims.
Help us understand?

The "hate" of Muslims by Americans is more a perception than anything else. It is sort of a guilt by association.
It is unfortunate that the Muslims who tend to be in the news are those who are radical, extremely religious etc. They are the ones most associated with the violence that permiates the Middle East (and other countries).
It can very, very difficult to convince people that Islam and its followers want peace when all you hear about is Shiites killing Sunnis, Sunnis killing Shiites, Hamas vs Fatah etc.

Some Americans hate Muslims and Arabs, and some don't, just like some Muslims and Arabs hate Americans (and chant "Death to America" and "Death to the West" and "Death to the 'Crusader-Zionists'"), while some Muslims and Arabs don't hate Americans.
Not all Americans have the same opinions. Not all Muslims and Arabs have the same opinions.

Perhaps some do but most probably don't hate Muslims in general as it is a group of diverse individuals: some good and some not so good, just like in any other group, including Christians.
