Have you ever heard the song, "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong? This song has been done by many artists and couldn't be more classy, beyond that you can determine how jazzy you want it to be by the way you sing it. It's considered to be a classic jazz song and it is beautiful in any key. Go to the trouble to download it and at least try it. I don't think anyone else will do it, and it will REALLY make you stand out, because the people running the show will know it, and I guarantee they love it, and will feel it is a perfect second audition song. I love it because you can put as much feeling into it as you want; and isn't that what it's all about? Sing your heart out, and knock em dead!

Well, you say you want a jazzy song...some of my suggestions are not particularly jazzy, more blues, but if you put your own twist on them they can sound great, plus a lot of judges like this as it shows you don't copy exactly what other singers have done, you can put your own stamp on things. So, if there is a song that you like but don't feel is jazzy enough, play around with it.
Also, with regards to your range, if there is a song you would like to do but it is too high, transpose it. I don't know how much you know about music, but transposing is when you put a piece of music up or down a key (or more than one) to make it easier to sing/play. You can do this manually, or if you have a music program such as sibelius or cakewalk, you can put the music into this and transpose it. Some music shops on the net will sell the music in different keys too, for future reference.
Anyway. Here are my suggestions, which I have all sung in the past, with a low voice!
You got a Friend in Me (Toy Story)
Chicago
Theme tune from Rocky
Big Spender
Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man
Fields of Gold
Wind Beneath my Wings
Baby, it's Cold Outside
My Way
Fly Me To the Moon
Cry Me A River (NOT the JT version)
You Belong to Me
Crazy
Feelin' Good
Killing Me Softly with His Song
Anything Goes
What a Wonderful World
O Holy Night (This is great to play with, and if you have a loud voice is fabby)
Santa Claus is Coming to Town (Yes, I know it's a Christmas tune)
Only A Paper Moon
Anything by Nina Simone
Some songs by Nerina Pallot
" " " Eva Cassidy
" " " Leann Rhimes
" " " Sheryl Crow
Finally, I want to say GOOD LUCK, you are dead brave to get up and try and you must have something good if you got recalled! Smile and go kick a**!

Find what you want to sing and then transpose it, is one possible answer.
But note that
1. You should choose something suitable to the quality of your voice
2. You haven't told us what your range actually is -- if it's in the male baritone range you really ought to go for songs normally sung by a male
3. If your voice is in the baritone range you should choose something that lets you use your chest to provide reverberation and power. Most music designed for females tends to emphasise high notes which use the head cavities to provide reverberation.
4. It's probably better to think of it as having a "deep female voice" than a "deep feminine voice" -- there's precious little written that's suitable for a deep voice and yet obviously feminine.

If you have done the Chicago songs, why dont you try some old school Areatha Franklin. She had a deep voice, classic tunes and her songs are entertaining. Try going to a music store and see something that may suit your voice. Good Luck.

i know exactly what you mean! i love singing but i really struggle to reach high notes. The only other deep song i can think of is the solo Rizzo sings in grease 'There are worse things i could do... etc' but its not very jazzy! if i think of one ill let you know! good luck anyway

Well, I tend to have the same- if you can stretch it like I did, try
"Birdland"- the full title is Lullaby of Birdland or Lullaby in Birdland-
the rendition I had was
Count Basie with Sarah Vaughan.
Good luck, whatever you choose?

You could try the jazz version of 'Black is the colour of my true love's hair' - absolutely beautiful and, of course, you can transcribe it to any pitch you like.
