I got my nose peirced 2 weeks ago, and allthough I am trying my darndest to keep it clean so it can heal(I'm well aware this takes about 3 months), it keeps falling out! Luckily this has always only happened at home, when I'm in the tub, or when I'm in bed(I always put on a round bandage when I'm ready to sleep though) But due to the fact of it popping in and out all the time, and reinjuring the area when putting it back in, I think its getting infected. It has a little pimply thing beside the hole that has puss under the skin. Its not really red around the hole though... I'm still cleaning it and I just put some Polysporin antibiotic ointment on it. Any other advice from anyone who had a similar problem?

Also, I was wondering if the infection has something to do with the ring itself. When I got my ears done, I had a heck of a time with them because I was allergic and didn't know it. I chose a gold ring for my nose, but as we all know, a lot of gold has nickle in it

k the first thing t do is t go out as soon as possible and buy a titanium ring. wit a ball closure. its the best for healing. dont use anythin drastic to clean it. some things can be to strong. use sea salt and boiled(cooled) water. stick it out for another week. if it gets worse or not getting any better. just take it out. its not worth messin your nose up...hope this helps ya a small bit.

Hay,this is just down my alley!I have my nose pierced also.I had a few problems. I use a home-made ring.Small craft wire with clear insolation.I was alergic to some of the studs I found, and some didn't stay in either then when they fell out the hole tried to close.May try putting the insolation around a stud too.I like to improvise alot.I now wear a nose ring of wire.
The infection: I use peroxide, hebiclens will work too.Keep the inside of your nose clean(but you already knew that right?!) If you get a cold it goes straight into the hole and wala-infection.
Hand sanitizer will kill germs when applied and worked in-
Caution: IT BURNS !
Good luck.Hope this helps.

I had the same problem with my nose ring and the only thing that worked for me was go out and buy a screw nose ring and try your hardest to get it in (yes it may be painful) I found i took plyers and bent the screw out more so I could fit it in because at the time i as well had an infection but only because i never took proper care of it. Soon as I got the screw in and took care of it there was no problems!

no hey mine did the same thing and it was so sore, i took it out once and it made it worse, just try to keep it clean and your hands off it, i have several different types of studs, one that has like a cork screw it doesn't stay in as good as just the straight ones that has a little ball on the end to keep it from coming out, just make sure it is sterling or gold and try not to take it out , good luck and believe me it will heal, just takes time...walmart have several types**

sure, I definitely have carried out the comparable element. I had pierced it with a small stud then desperate i wanted a hoop as quickly as and a at the same time as, so I went to the piercer who did my nostril and he or she kinda stretched it somewhat. It hurts as much because it does to get it pierced. additionally as quickly as you have the hollow made larger the small studs kinda slip out of it somewhat difficulty-free.
