I've been seeing a lot of people that were told that they would recieve their refunds by 1/26 are having problems. What about those that filed a week or so later? I filed on 1/29 and I'm not supposed to get my refund until 2/9/07. I'm just wondering if I'll run into these same problems. The IRS website says to expect it on this coming Friday..has anyone else had a similar message only to go back and see that it changed?

The IRS website says that my refund will be direct deposited on 2/9/07. I sure hope that it doesn't get delayed because I could really use the money asap.

I haven't heard a thing about software vendors.
Mine not only said to expect it, it also said that it was deposited.
From what I understand, If you claim the EIC, then allow an additional 2-4 weeks for review.
I know of several people that qualified for the EIC, without children, and received it. So...It has to do with qualifying children.
If you have children and qualify for the EIC and your deposit is not received on the expected date, then your return is probally being delayed.

I did my taxes (e-filed) on 01/26/2007 and I recieved my tax refund on 02/01/2007 without a hitch.

The IRS was having problems with various software vendors, but they are working on it. Things should get better shortly. It is a lot of data to process!!!

Generally, there are issues with the very early filings and sometimes that causes delays.
I wouldn't worry too much.
