Ok before Christianity there were pagan beliefs that thousands if not millions of people believed in... Then Christianity came along and said “you are all wrong this is what happened this is how the world started”… and so on and so forth. So if everyone was so sure about the first religions that aren’t around anymore maybe in the future Christianity won’t be around anymore and thought of pagan. In other words PROVE your religion is correct and wont die out like the others if you can you deserve a cookie because I don’t think its possible… this is the main reason I am atheist.

Religion is less about God, and more about our human need to believe in something. It is therefore a powerful psychological institution more than anything supernatural.

That said, religion performs a valuable psychological wellness role for the bulk of humanity in dealing with traumatic situations- and to explain the nature of the world. The problem arises when another 2 of our other very human responses, bigotry and competitiveness, jump into the equation. Whether its race, religion, or culture, everyone from the beginning of recorded civilization has been out to prove that they're better than someone else. I wouldnt blame that on the religion, but on the morons that push this mold of thinking.

Your question is inherently impossible to prove as there ARE no scientific measures of correctness. Some things to consider are:
1. does your religion provide you with a path to satisfaction and peace?
2. does your religion accept other points of view?
3. does your religion provide a reasonable explanation of the problems of life? (social injustice, death, etc)

A mature (but necessarily "correct") religion will do these things and hold its ground against inquiry and reasoned skepticism.

Religion:- Religion is a system of beliefs and worships which includes a code of ethics and a philosophy of life. There are many religions in the world today. Some of these religions are of recent origin but most of them are very old. In fact we know from history that man has always had a religion. Even the primitive men living in caves or jungles had some sort of religion. The concepts and rituals in man's religion have CONTINUALLY evolved and become more rational and sophisticated as time went on. The primitive religions of the Cave Man and the Bush Man gave rise to the modern religions of the past three thousand years. Today, the major religions of the world include: World Religion ----- Originated in Zoroastrianism ----- Iran Confucianism ----- China Hinduism ------ India Taoism ------ China Jainism ------ India Judaism ------ Neat East Christianity ------ Near East Islam ------ Near East Buddhism ------- India Shinto ------- Japan These are the great religions of the world which are not only responsible for all our accumulated wealth of wisdom, philosophy, ethics, and social and moral codes, but have influenced the culture, the language and the moral attitudes of almost every PERSON living today. Difference between Religious and Non Religious Peoples. 1. The religious people believe in something while the others do not. 2. The religious people perform certain acts of worship while the others do not. 3. The religious people seem to follow a certain code for their social and moral behaviour while the others do not. 4. The religious people find a purpose of life and have a definite philosophy towards it, while the others do not.

Bottom line is, man is a creature of belief and faith in that belief, no matter what it is you believe in. You cannot be motivated to live without something to believe in. Everyone has to stand on their belief system, and you can't prove it to anybody else. It is accepted only by people that share the same perspective on their own. We believe what seems right to us because it is a model that makes sense of our personal reality.

Why do people accept atheism? You can't prove your belief any more than the Christian can. It's just something you accept because it satisfies and justifies some need. If you say you know there is no God, how can you prove it? Why do you accept something you don't know is 100% true?

Truth is, there is a knowing that true Christians have. It is given. It is not obtained. It literally comes from out of this world, and people of the world cannot comprehend it. You either have it or don't, and whatever side you stand on you must live and die by it.

If you are secure in your faith, you won't ever ask that question and you won't have to prove it to yourself or anyone else. If you will study religions around the world, you will find that most believe is some form of supreme being and that the major differences in religion are the way they are practiced. God or whatever you believe in will decide who or what is right or wrong, not anything or anyone on this earth or universe.

If you will read the Bible, Jesus never really said "You're wrong". He answered many questions with more questions and statements such as "Give unto Caesar what is Caesar's and give unto God what is God's". Pilot could not find a reason to convict Christ and sentence him to death -- he ended up listening to his advisors which was testament to the breakdown of or lack of true justice.

If you are an atheist and you don't believe in God (which is the definition of Atheist) and you believe that proof is required, then you really are not secure in your belief or your heart. No one can threaten you if you truly believe in whatever you practice -- be it atheism or whatever. When you understand that your faith is yours and that another's faith is his or hers and that you don't have to "convert" everyone to your point of view, then you are truly "free" and you are truly secure in your faith. Ultimately everyone will answer.............

I don't need to prove anything. There was believers and non-believers when Jesus walked thru Judea and Samaria, so there will be believers and non-believers today and forever.

The Bible is the only proof I would recommend to you. Its is a book of many eyewitness reports of historical events that were supernatural in scale.

Lastly I would say to you, its better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Wheather you believe in something or not does not change the fact that it is true. And you don't have to see something to know wheather or not it exists.

When I take a simple look at nature, the trees, clouds, flowers, sunshine, a bee, wind, the ocean, there is no way that all of this happened by accident.

Poom, if you wait on proof you will just have to stay an atheist. Christianity did not just "come along" by the way...it was born from the Jewish belief. Nothing that I can say is going to make my religion right for you. Still...religions of one or another kind have survived a lot more than YA...so I just do not know what to tell you other than...PEACE. CC

Christianity came after paganism?

If God created the world, he was before the pagans. Since God is the basis of Christianity; Christianity has been around since the beginning of time; which God created.

Woops, I just proved you wrong. Can someone get my cookie?

Christ was sent to first minister to people who called on God. There were many who called on God in a way that was not pleasing to Him. An example, Jesus tried to teach the Jews. His ministry started there and branched out with the help of every disciple He has had to this day. The pagan beliefs have tried to infect the Truth of God, so that good people might be deceived, but those who love Christ will be wise and not caught with fools.

Because its founder is real. He has proven himself to millions of people that have/had faith in him. Christianity has existed since it was created and will do so until the end. The bible has been around through the ages and it is the same then and now. The message is the same.
God is real to those who believe just as these words you are reading are real to you.
