Do not use hair spray, your curls will become stiff and hard. Curling iron will not make your curls last long, they will start to droop. Your best bet is to buy the plastic, snap on rollers with the smooth barrel and your curls wil last all day. Use a setting lotion on wet/damp hair roll it up and let your hair dry naturally.

think hair? i think you mean thick hair. anyway you could try 3 things...
1st Thing:
buy the shampoo called Wash n Curl
(you just take a shower and use that shampoo and after you dry your hair, it's curly n cute!)
2nd Thing:
buy the styling mousse called VO5 curvacious curls
(you take your regular shower and once you come out you put some on your root to tips then let it dry [or blow dry it])
3rd Thing:
go out and buy a hair curler (since you want tight curls [i think that means small] so you buy a hair curler that makes small curls. like get a skinny one and curl all of your hair.(unless you want big, loose curls, get a bigger hair curler.)
HOPE THIS HELPS!!
GOOD LUCK!

You can buy sponge curlers at a drug store, it takes a little effort to put them in neatly but if you put a good product in your hair, put them in right then you just take them out and you have tight bouncy curls.

buy the plastic curls. after you come out the shower, blow dry your hair until it is almost dry. kind of damp like. the insert those curlers in. blow them them in low spped with medium heat. leave them on for about 10minutes or until you think they are dry. use the pantene hair spray and spray a little on each curls. then uncurl then. voila. you have curly bouncy hair. ;)

use plastic mesh or magnetic type rollers to set your hair when damp with some setting lotion the night before valentines day and sleep in your set and you should have plenty of long lasting curls the next morning

if your hair has some wave, you can buy a product like sunsilk hairapy...i use the blue one to tame waves...anyhow, after you wash your hair, put some of the product on it and use a hairdryer with a diffuser....i've found the key is to not wiggle the hairdryer around on any one section because that makes frizz, but if you do one section at a time, you get nice curls.....

Just use a straightening iron. Take the iron, and make a half turn with the iron. Then, pull it through your hair very slowly. It works well. You can do this vertically, or horizontally. It works both ways. -CRK
