What the heck is going on?

Question

Look around, we have North Korea who has told us straight up the have nukes. We have Iran who says they are working on energy not nukes, we have Iraq....no WMD found....but we are at war, we have the big one RUSSIA who has confirmed they will be building up their army and navy over the next few years (nukes included).and what about China.....We need to go back to Allies 101 and make sure we know who are friends are or we are going to be in big trouble SOON. What is your opinion on this or am I the only one who see's it?

In my experience, allies aren't worth much. They're all in it only insofar as they can personally benefit, and as our fortune isn't necessarily theirs, we can really only count on ourselves when times get tough.

G W Bush simply chose to prey on weak, defenseless nations. But he never got the balls to challenge those big nations who can strike back, no matter how evil and wicked those nations can be.

These nations (Russia and China) simply wait in the sidelines and wait for America to wear itself out in all of it's current wars. If these wars will go on for many years (plus the possibility that war against Iran and North Korea breaks out), America will be weakened and hurt economically and militarily. Then Russia and China can easily make their move and call the shots unchallenged. That's how I see it in the long term (5 to 15 years from now).

Ever notice that China and Russia keep their silence, while the U.S. is continually bogged down in wars?. I'm very sure that these two countries are secretly building up and preparing their own military for an ultimate showdown with the U.S.. All of our attention are focused on events in Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, North Korea, and Syria. So, we never notice what Russia and China are doing in secret and what they're up to during all these times.

Ive always said that, but get shot down by all the right wingers on this board who are quite happy to talk anyone down who mentions the war and tell them to go over and fight it but dont have the balls to practise what they preach.

We have little to fear from these countries they all know that to attack us is suicidal so don't sweat it. If Iran or North Korea get practical weapon systems that they just get added to our list of targets for our nukes to hit. So please stop the paranoia and over reactions it's counter productive and childish.

simple..we are at the top of the food chain so to speak.. and these other countries use blackmail as a way to climb to the top.. naterally we will devour them
