I am used to using Turbo Tax but this year have to file in 4 states, so with downloading each state, I am thinking it may be less expensive to go to H & R Block. Has anyone had good/bad experience with them? Also, how much does it typically cost?

They charge for each state form about what you would pay yourself. Multiple states get very complicated and I recommend that you just pay them this year. They can give you a quote before they do it.

You'd have to pay Block for the preparation of 5 returns. You'd pay quite a bit more than someone who only needed 2 returns.

H & R Block rips people off. They chage way too much along with Jackson Hewitt.

I always thought they were the McDonald's of tax preparers. Your probably better off finding a good accountant. Try to find someone who can refer you.
