I've used it for my personal taxes for years, and it is always quick and easy. I have had very complex tax years, and very simple ones, and TurboTax handles everything well.

There is a limit on the number of returns you can prepare with the program for one year - four or five, I think. So, you can't run a tax return business with the basic retail copy.

Every year you need to get a new copy of the program, due to all of the new tax laws every year.

You can deduct the cost of the program - the IRS lets you deduct the cost of preparing your taxes, and the program itself is in that category, just like an accountant would be.

I think once you buy the software you can do up to five tax returns. You have to pay additional fees to eFile. The best way to find out is to read the license agreement, check the FAQ's section.

Turbo tax is the best, I've used it 5 years now. You can use it over and over.

Return the software if you made less than $52,000 AGI. You can do it for free for Federal pending the under 52K. If your state is one of the 22 states that does free efile, than you can do it for free for state too, otherwise it's $9.95. I am sure that is cheaper than the software.

Go to www.irs.gov and click the efile link.
