I am also involved with Orchad Bank as well as Household Bank which are now same companies. I got 2 credit cards with limit of $300 and I was not careful reading agreement so I paid $69 annually fee for each. Now in a month will be a year of using them and I paid all bills on time and I didn't have increase on my credit limit. So I'm strongly considering to cancell both cards before I pay again annually fee of $130. Basically, I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Orchard Bank credit cards are among the most popular cards available to people with less than perfect credit history. Rival credit products, such as those issued by New Millennium Bank or First Bank of Delaware, typically require deposits (secured cards) or charge much higher interest rates by comparison (+19% compared to the average Orchard rate of 8.9%); as a result, the credit cards from Orchard Bank are incredibly popular – on my website at least. :)
Some people write in to complain about their experiences with Orchard, but after examining their accounts of whatever happened I find that they either made a poor decision (one lady let her son take her card to California and they cancelled it) or they didn’t address their issue to the correct department within the company (one woman repeatedly called the new card department with a question about fraud and would hang up when they tried to transfer her.) In most cases keeping a level head and being patient with a credit card company is the best solution – remember, they have a vested interest in keeping you happy so they can keep your business!

I had Orchard Bank when my credit was crap.
They were honest about their fees, my limit increased periodically, they reported to all 3 credit agencies monthly, and their customer service was very helpful.
When my credit got back to good standing, and I had other credit cards (0% interest and 0% interest on balance transfers), I asked them to lower my interest rate and they said no. I transferred my entire balance to a new card and cut both of them up.

Eh... I have had one of their cards for a few years. I do think they suck as far as granting credit limit increases. I have paid on time every month and in full and have not missed a single payment. I am still at the same credit limit I was when I got the card 2 years ago. The card sits mainly unused in my wallet. Only reason why its not cancelled it because its helping my credit.

If you have bad credit, then you are stuck to applying for subprime credit cards. Of all the subprime credit cards available, orchard bank has the most reasonable fees and rates. Presently, their lowest APR is 8.90% (and that is low regardless of whether you have good credit or bad credit).
Most other subprime issuers like first premier, compucredit have high annual fees (think over one hundred dollars), high one-time applicationa and processing fees, and even monthly maintenance fees to top it up. APR for most subprime cards is about 19%.
Hence, I would say that the Orchard Bank Mastercard has the most reasonable fees among all other subprime cards. Furthermore, they have now owned by HSBC Bank, one of the largest and most reputable bank in the world.
