Ok, I've been seeing a lot of questions over the last week about where is the best place to approach girls, but now I'm confused.
From the answers I've seen, most people don't think a club or bar is a good place to meet people if you are looking for a relationship. So then they suggest something like try a church, the gym, or a public place like a grocery store.
But then in other questions I've seen, girls almost all said that if they were approached by a guy at the gym or a grocery store, they would be turned off by it and find the guy pretty creepy.
So I guess my question is, is a bar or club really the only place where a guy can approach a girl without freaking the girl out? Even though everyone says that it is not the place to go looking for a relationship.

If you see a girl you like and could see yourself with, approach no matter where you are. What if you don't approach her because a few people on here say not to, but she could've been the perfect girl for you? Don't be afraid of where you are, it doesn't really matter. Just be yourself and it'll all work out.

Don't take advise from girls on this. I know that sounds crazy, but what girls want and what works is two different things.
Hit on every single woman you find attractive wherever you are. Odds are only 1/10 girls will give you a phone number and answer when you call. Out of those girls 1/5 will go on a date, and turn into a girlfriend, or at least repeat dater. Your going to talk to 50 girls before one sticks.
Basically you need to quit looking for the perfect setting and just start asking. Or it will take forever before you get someone.
Who cares if some girl thinks your creepy? Nine "No"'s are worth it when you hear that 1 "Yes".

How old are you - and your group of friends? It is not unknown to get toungue tied when you are approached by someone you have the hots for with the resultant dumb smile - particularly as teenagers! Just because a girl is 'hot' doesn't mean she is imune to the normal interaction with guys she is attracted too! In general, I think girls still like to be approached in a way that respects them as an individual and does NOT treat them as a conquest. The more patronising the approach the more cutting the put down is going to be for you!

I once dated the cashier in a grocery store. But it wasn't like I approached her the first time she saw me. I started by chatting with her and little by little after she got used to be I asked her out and it went OK.
There are no rules on "where to approach a girl" or exactly "how to do it". There is no manual. Just take things easily and follow you common sense.

what kinda girl to you want? what kinda relationship do you want?
That will tell you where to find the girls!
You find them 'Where you are"....and "Who you know" no joke.
Your mother and father, the friend's friend, little brothers best friends big sister. Look closer. These people know and love you and want to share time with "both" of you. [long term]
Create a game night at your house. Everyone must bring a girl night and pick a new partner for each game and play.
Join a social or study club, that is where I met all my guys.
I was in several Fraternities (Greek and business) in college.
I worked part time at the college library, my best friend at the Video store and we both did it to meet guys.

I don't think the place really matters. It's all about your timing and rather you step to the girl like a man or a chump.

It is more how you aproach them. If you come on really heavy in a supermarket ect, then yeah you probably will freak them out. However, if you just smile, or talk a little that's fine and a great way to appraoch them without freaking them out.

The bar is a horrible place to meet anyone. It's loud and crowded. Bars are for one night stands.

ok first this is confidence. Second, you gotta go out there and make them laugh. Thrid, where you meet her is not important but how you carry on from there is important.
I got many numbers in the past but I call them after weeks and they totally forgot about me. So when you meet them, be sure to follow up with them. Be confident.
