i have tiger running on a g4 ibook. i can't seem to launch windows media player everytime i try to open it up. i have downloaded the installer and installed it several times, but to no avail. it does the same thing. the icon bounces on the dock for a few seconds then displays an error saying that the WMV quit unexpectedly...i really need help. i need WMV to stream asx files...please?

Hello there. Try this: uninstall Windows Media Player, and then go online and download it again and reinstall it. If that does not work, try downloading an application called Flip2Mac, which will play Windows Media Files in QuickTime Player. The link is below. Good luck!

Goto Microsoft's Knowledge base and put in your query, I'm sure others have ran into the same problems, you may want to email Apple about this. Could be a bad WMV, more than likely I would say it could be the video codec used to decode the WMV. Does it load other file types okay? Or other WMVs? (WMV = Windows Media Video) I don't really work with MACs that much, too cluncky. I hope though I was some sort of help.
