Jesus put it this way:
Matt 13:24-30
24 Jesus told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25 But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. 26 When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.
27 "The owner's servants came to him and said, 'Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?'
28 "'An enemy did this,' he replied.
"The servants asked him, 'Do you want us to go and pull them up?'
29 "'No,' he answered, 'because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.'"
(from New International Version)
What you are asking about is the work of the enemy of God who doesn't want anybody to know God's love for them. So this enemy plants all kinds of lies through his followers; these are those relgions which do not teach of God's love and His way of giving eternal salvation to all who seek Him.
Yes, it is a battle to find the true God amidst all the lies out there. But if you are really seeking Him, you will find Him. That is His promise.
Luke 11:9-13
9 "So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
11 "Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"
(from New International Version)
Now it's up to you.

sorry, the "let's blame God for sending nice people to Hell" gambit does not work and never will.....
but nice try.
going to Heaven, instead of Hell, has nothing whatsoever to do with how good a person you are, how brave you are, how much money you have......
realizing Jesus is Lord will also not get anyone to Heaven, terrorist, monk or otherwise.
even the Devil himself realizes that Jesus Christ is Lord of the Universe.
all humans are born with a sinful nature.
God is without sin and He cannot and will not allow a soul into Heaven with a sinful nature.
He devised a plan to remedy that situation, and it is the only plan, the only way to heaven.....
and it is His Gift to you, if you will ony accept it:
John 3: The Words of Jesus Christ (God in the flesh)
3. "Verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God."
4. Nicodemus saith unto Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?"
5. Jesus answered, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God."
6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."
16. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18. He that believeth on Him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

The strange thing about faith? It requires belief. I don't believe everything any church or man tells me. I believe in the word of God and the word of God made flesh. Its faith, not religion, we need. Religion is a man made concept. Faith is a Divine precept. Every soul brought forth has it, we just choose to put it into different things. Some choose science, argue if you like but a lot of science is based on theory and conjecture which requires the use of faith to believe. Some choose nothing, mostly cynics and agnostics. The long and short of it is we need God. It is truly up to every individual to make up their own minds and walk their walk. I pray for your well being and happiness. God Bless

do you mean, "why doesn't God prove Himself to you"? He has
shown Himself to several. those that are not ignorant but are willing to believe in something that doesn't need to be proven-It's called Faith and once you have it He shows Himself often. We are given a choice to know Him or not. The car thing-I guess I have been nearly broken down and fixed before I died. He sends people to guide us when we don't believe and some times we are so stupid we don't even know why they're there.

God has revealed Himself and proven Himself to us ignorant mortals, you aren't paying attention. The proof is in front of you no matter where you are, you just do not accept it.
The question of heaven or hell is about one thing only. Did you accept the path to God that He made for all men to be able to reach Him and know Him? That is it. Eternal life is about living in the presence of God with a personal relationship. Hell is about the absence of God. It is your choice to accept or reject God, with the consequences of your choice being your final destination. God has already reached out to man now it is our turn. What is your choice?

If there is an all knowing and all loving God out there, I'll have no problem believing.......IF there's evidence.
Why didn't most of Jesus' followers believe him when he was here?
Why didn't they believe him when he raised the dead?
It's simple, because I believe it didn't happen. The bible was written by different people.
How is it possible for the world population to believe in one thing? It's not going to happen.
Reality check, folks!

The Bible tells us that God has clearly revealed Himself in nature (Romans 1:20) and in the hearts of people (Ecclesiastes 3:11). The problem is that the human race is sinful; we all reject this knowledge of God and rebel against Him (Romans 1:21-23). Apart from God's grace, God would give us over to the sinful desires of our hearts, allowing us to discover how useless and miserable life is apart from Him. This He does for those who reject Him (Romans 1:24-32).
In reality, it is not that God has not revealed himself, Rather, the problem is that they have rejected what they have heard and what is readily seen in nature. Deuteronomy 4:29 proclaims, “But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.” This verse teaches an important principle: everyone who truly seeks after God will find Him. If a person truly desires to know God, God will make Himself known.
The problem is, “there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God” (Romans 3:11). People reject the knowledge of God that is present in nature and in their own heart, and instead decide to worship a “god” of their own creation.

God has proved himself to humans many, many times. And still they go on dis-believeing. Wanting more and more proof. God sent Noah, and Jesus, and Moses and Mohammed to teach us the word of God. And still they didn't want to believe. God sent plagues, and disease, and parted the river for Moses, and it's still not enough??
People don't want to believe. That is the bottom line. There are signs of God all around us. WE are signs of God. Nature is a sign of God.
God always helps us. Anything good that happens to you, God gives it you. and anything bad that happens to you, you do unto yourself. You are sending yourself to hell by the things you do. It's not God's fault. He Loves us all and is Merciful and forgiving.
If you are a good person and do good things, and believe in God , and repent for your sins. God will guide you ,and do good things for you.
You are confused because you don't pray. You must pray and have patience. Through Prayer and Patience God will give you whatever you want.

oh, I get the analogy. I think he's on vacation with Lucifer trying to work his differences out and make heaven into a new mass real estate corporation... Last I heard, the Bush family had 30% of all shares reserved. God needs a new vice chairman. Last I saw him, he mentioned something about Jesus failing a urine test or something...
OMG! Someone actually had the nerve to suggest "good and bad" religion! LOL!

You need to stick to the analogy of a criminal in court---sin is serious- that is what you need to acknowledge first. Have you ever lied? Stolen? These are sins in God's eyes and according to HIS standards, sin separates man from God for eternity--thus why Jesus came to die on the cross, and she His blood, plan of salvation....only through Him as John 14:6 says.
