know & she ALWAYS jumps into the middle of everyone's

I would stop whatever I was saying (or have the other person stop), pause, look at her, and mumble to the other person "We'll talk about this later". If this happens enough, your co-worker will realize that 'barging in' doesn't get her anywhere. If she tries to ask you for details say "this is a private conversation between -------- and me". It is direct and maybe a little rude but she should get the hint.

i work with people like that and i do one of two things. a.) copmetely IGNORE them....try your best to tune em out they might get a bit huffy and stompy but it gets the point across after a few times. b.) when they ask the what are you talking about...let em ask a couple times...then after the 2nd or 3rd time of asking (or even do this on the first) act like they are TOTALY interrupting you story and give them SMALL details on the story....like "i was just telling MARY about something last night" and then continue on with your conversation.

she either thinks you are going to talk about her orshe doesnt want to be left out.

you dont want to be mean but you will have to a bit to get it accross to her.why dont you all get together and discuss this behavior behavior. then when she jumps in; tell her that you were discussing who rude it is when people jump in and talk when they are not in the conversation. and has that ever happened to her? maybe she will get the hint?
