I can't file my 2006 taxes electronically without a password or my exact AGI, and I don't have last year's tax return. Any help is appreciated.

If you happened to use a paid preparer for your 2005 return, they should have a copy in their records and would be able to give you your AGI over the phone.

Otherwise, call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040. Follow the phone prompts (as of this morning, you'll want Option 1 then Option 5) and they'll verify your identity and can then provide you with your 2005 AGI. Good luck! :-)

Call 800-829-1040. Listen to the prompts, it will have something to do with "your account", keep on pushing until they ask you are you calling for you AGI? If you are on hold long, you will hear one of two songs that the IRS has had for years. Hold on....they'll get it. Also, if you did your taxes with Jackson Hewitt last year, even if you moved, you can find a local office, i.d. yourself in person, and they will give you a free copy of your return.

good luck & blessing

There is another option where you can still efile and once your return is accepted you have to mail in a signiture form within 3 days.
