Were you in need of money?
How did you receive the money?

(I wanted to teach my oldest daughter about the law of tithing one summer while at the beach. We prayed and gave a $20. at the offering. Later that day we found a $20 on the shore.)

I do not believe tithing is a gimic. I was teaching my daughter to give her best ten percent to the Lord, be it money, time, or tallent. I believe God placed that $20 at my daughter's feet for a reason;to prove to us that he was present and listening. I don't care to debat the issue of tithing. I've never known of anyone who has changed another person's opinion. I'm simply looking for testimonies thank you.

I see countless blessings from tithing every day. I used to work at a job where I made pretty good money, yet I did not tithe as I should have. Now the job that I have, I make considerably less, yet I tithe. Now the world would say if you don't have much money keep it and don't tithe. But because the Word of God says that I am suppose to tithe and because I am closer to Him, I do. I may go into a store to purchase something. Go to the register to pay for it and it rings up considerably less than what the tag says. I could not pay a bill(because of lack of funds at the time) and at the time when I go to pay the bill, my services are not cut off. I have children. This is my son's first year of college. I didn't know how I was going to do it but God has made a way. And he is not just going to any college. He is attending a NCAA college. He and we are fed daily. All our needs are met, exceedingly and abundantly. I see constantly even a lot of my wants answered. I said all that to say this. Look, just do what the Bible says to do and the rest is up to God. He will do it. Just rest and have the faith that He will do it. The key is to have the faith that He will. Because remember without faith it is impossible to please Him. May God Bless U.

About 3 years ago my husband and I decided to give the 10%. We had always just given a few bucks. We prayed and said we were nervous it was a lot of money ($67 a week). Two days after the first tithe we received a $1000 refund from a school payment. AMAZING.

Even though times are tough right now, we give as much as possible every week. About 2 weeks ago, I put the last $20 in the collection and said, its all up to God now. Since then my husband received a $650 bonus and I received a $50 bonus. GOD IS AMAZING.

Last summer I needed money to buy door prizes for the church picnic. We have no budget, so I pay for everything. I prayed that I didn't really have the money. Later that day, I noticed a drawer open. I usually don't use this drawer, it's full of old banking stuff. I leaned over to shut it and inside was $25. I gleefully thanked God and ran off to buy door prizes for the kids.

I know of the opposite. A lady was talking with God about tithing, and did she really need to do it. He told her not to tithe that week to show her something. A couple days later, she blew out 2 tires on her van and the bill came to exactly what her tithe would've been. God showed her that if she thought she couldn't afford to tithe and witheld it, He wouldn't let her keep that money.

Personally, I got a second job once in order to pay off my credit card debt. I estimated how much I would make and it would be enough to pay off everything. But... I forgot to tithe during this time period and I hardly made a dent in my debt. I put all the money on the bills, but they just didn't go away. Weird math. Then, I started tithing again, and now, with less income, the debts are decreasing rapidly. I still have plenty of money to spare, while making less and paying more on the debts. The math doesn't really work out, but it's happening nonetheless.

Jesus threw the money changers out of the temple. Tithing promotes the actions of money changers. If you tithe in hopes of some kind of return, you are not tithing, you are investing with risk. I believe people are blessed with jobs, homes, health, children, husbands, wives, relatives, etc. Tithing should not be totally associated with money because giving of yourself in support of your beliefs is also a form of tithe -- the ultimate tithe.

God has always provided for those who believe. Also, if you believe in the Bible's teachings, it says you should have insurance, and that the women should own the homes and keep the family together. Pay yourself first and if you live your life as God provides in the 10 Commandments, tithing won't be an issue. God helps those who take care of themselves and who help others. Walking the walk and talking the talk is more important than tithing to someone or some group who maybe feathering his/her own nest.

I have witnessed and been the recipient of God's blessings, whether it was money or other miracles. Teach your daughter to love, to give without expectation of return, to give with her heart, soul and mind and to trust in God -- let God teach her the rest.

yes, when I was a young Bible student I lived in a modest apartment and worked full time. I didn't really have money for extras but I was a tither. I needed new underwear. I prayed that the Lord would somehow send me some. Two days later my sister sent me about 18 brand new pairs because she didn't like them. They had never ever been worn and still had all the tags on them. I can remember another Time I wanted home grown tomato's. The next day a friend brought me a bag full of them from the neighbor's yard. Yes, tithing does work.

Yes I have. I remember the time that my husband lost his job. I make pretty decent, but his income was our main source. I had to take over all the bills. Sometimes it was either pay a bill or pay my tithes. I paid my tithes. My bills were always paid. My family never went without anything. I began receive blessings from everywhere. Tithing is important.

Yes, at Christmas...

I had been tithing and really needed money for Christmas gifts. I prayed about it and tithed. I knew God would provide and he did.

My boss blessed me with a bonus 3x's as much as past years. 1/3 went to taxes...and I still had 2x as much as in years past. (Even after taxes). I also tithed on my bonus...and praised God for it all!

..and I was able to provide gifts for the ones I love.
