Hey! I have a lot of spare time on my hands and I'm looking for a charitable organization I can help with. I want to help the seriously needy in my community. I live in Augusta, GA.
Do you know any organizations I can work with or places I can go to help the needy?

I am affiliated with a Church, but I wanted to reach out to other members of the community. I'm in a big financial bind myself right now, so I can sympathize with those who are struggling. I'm knitting hats and getting together "care packages" with things I can't use but know other families could, especially with infants.

Can you locate street people?
Do you have a poor area of town?
You don't need an organization.
But make sure you provide just a little help, because some will abuse your generosity.

It seems you have no church affiliation,so may I suggest contact one. They have many organizations asking for help,and that's what their community purpose is . I imagine you might find something to get involved with on your first call and may you find you no longer have any spare time.Have fun!!
