"Beg your pardon". When it's run together, it can sound more like "beg pardon" or big/bag parent.

You say it when you don't understand something? Pardon Me? If so, what it means is you are asking for patience that it has to be repeated.

"Pardon me" or "I beg your pardon".

These are apologies, rather like "excuse me".
