i'm 17 and im in this play at my school in which my character's girlfriend is a girl that i'm into in real life. i'm gonna ask her out for this weekend and i was thinkin of saying..."(sarcastic voice) I was thinkin, you know, just to make sure we have the characters down and everything, I mean, I guess i don't really have any other choice , but I should probaby take you out to dinner this weekend. Whatta ya say?" ...soo is that too corny or do u think it could work

Boy have times changed! Why on earth would you ask a girl out in a sarcastic voice? Or make her feel it is b/c you have to or should? Just ask her out nicely. If she turns you down, be man enough to accept it. It's part of growing up and maturing and happens to everyone. Girls have to learn to deal with other issues regarding dating that are just as difficult. Even if she goes out with you because of the play, so what? If she likes you she will go out with you, play or not. And girls like it when they think you actually want to be with them. Imagine that! Bad idea.

NO! Never ask questions which are somehow vague in their nature. Girls don't like that (they get confused). You can ask her what she's doing this weekend. She will probably say "I don't know". You can then ask her if she would like to have dinner with you.
