Sing something that you are extremely comfortable with and you know will show off your talent and range and have and fair of dynamic contrast. Ask your vocal instructors as well.

If you're auditioning for Laurie, then I would suggest the song "Being In Love," from the The Music Man. It has some of the same musical elements as Laurie's songs, as well as being her range, but it also has a middle section in which the lyric is exactly suited to Laurie's problem; what she wants in a man.

It is almost never a good idea to audition with a song from the musical your auditioning for, because directors tend to short form due to lack of time, and if it is not precisely what he wants, then he may just say "next".

By the way, when I directed Oklahoma, the young lady who got the part of Laurie sang the song I recommend in audition. That of course was only one of many reasons why she was cast. But it was an important one because it demonstrated to me that she had thought seriously about who she was auditioning for, and why.

I loved doing Oklahoma when I was in school. Any of the numbers from the show would be a good one to audition with. Have your voice coach help you pick which one would be best.

If you REALLY are what you say (many home productions and auditions, and lessons, etc.) then I cannot quit figure out why you cannot come up with an audition song. BTW: HaydenM is right!

The favorite song of mine from that play is,"I'm just a girl who can't say no." I think it would appeal to the other girls casting and it's a really good, light hearted song that would cheer them and purhaps be a good relief from the many versions of"People will say we're in love"they'll have to hear. Good Luck !

Since you're studying voice privately, this is a question best left to your voice teacher. No one here knows what you sound like, or what your voice is suited to like your private teacher does.
