There are two home remedies you can do to relieve the pain for longer periods of time - however, they can be a little painful to do. The first is to dip a cotton swab in hydrogen peroxide and apply it to the sore. You can also put salt directly on the blister and then rinse your mouth. Sucking on an ice cube can offer some relief as well.

To speed up the healing process, be sure to keep your mouth as clean as possible. Floss your teeth every night before you go to bed (bacteria settles in your mouth more at night than any other time of day) and thoroughly rinse with mouth wash (preferrably an alcohol-based one like Listerine).

If it has white or yellow at the top, it means it's infected and you should call the doctor about getting antibiotics. If it's just red, take some X-tra strength Tylenol or the store brand of it. And don't eat any spicy foods, or really hot food or drinks, while it's there.

I have never heard of this- it sounds more like a Herpes sore. Try campho-phenique (spelling?) or anbesol maybe?? There are plenty of "cold sore" remedies on the market now. You can visit the drug store for this.

try to avoid acidic food as well, because it will irritate the sore. if its not healed up in a few more days you may want to go to the doctors, jsut to have it checked out, becuase usually things in your mouth heal pretty quickly.
