It can be. And sometimes even more pure than later on. I guess at the time it is real. As you grow your reality may change but that doesn't cancel out what happened.

Yes. Just because we are young it does not mean we don't have the same feelings "mature" people do. Love is love no matter how old you are. You can fall in love when you're 10 or a 100.

How young?
If you are like 10, then no, its just a crush and puppy love.
As children mature, then eventually understand "love".
And usually, a real "love" relationship would last lots of months, even years. Normally young people argue over little things and leave the person they "loved" in little over a month.

It's real, but it deepens with each year that passes, because experience and time deepens your capacity to love.
For example, a six-year-old may love his favorite stuffed rabbit with all his heart and soul... but by sixteen he is wiser, more experienced, has a better understanding of loss and the worth of the thing or person he loves... and by 25, 36, 40, and so on, he continues to develop his heart and can love even more. (this doesn't happen to everyone - you have to work at it). So the love you have when you're young is real, but becomes so much fuller with experience and time.

I think it is even more real to them then it is to someone older. At a time when a person is trying to find them self and is jam packed with emotion. I think the feeling of love is the one and only thing they can relate to and try to understand. Since love is a feeling that no one can really describe or control. I don't think anyone can say who or who isn't in it. Older people just have different standards when it comes to love. I don't think age makes anyone a better judge of it.

Love can be real at any age. However, at some ages it is often mistaken for crushes. Crushes can be very powerful feelings, extremely deceptive. Just remember, love is a two-way street. That means you love him/her and s/he loves you back. Otherwise, its just a crush. Crushes can trick you into thinking you're in love. But if you're careful, they might blossom into an adult relationship of love.

I think you are capable of loving when you're young, yes. Obviously you love your parents and close friends and family.. being IN love though, I think is a different story and takes a little bit of maturity yet. I think that when we're young, we're more "infatuated" with lovers, rather than in love with them.

How young? Is is possible, but not really likely. If you're really young, you may not be mature enough to handle it, anyway.

About love..... if you have to ask yourself if its real, then it isn't. When you're really in love, you know it without any doubts.

Though the young are often innocent and somwhat naieve both those charactoristics can't realy detract from the reality of love.
