It is absolutely true that JW believe that a certain number of people will go to heaven and rule with Jesus Christ who will be the king of the world.

Sinners will be destroyed forever while good doers will inherit the world, a world free from chaos and disorder, free from illness and Adamic death will cease.

The world will become a joyful place for people who believe and practice the religion correctly. 144,000 will go to heaven, but many others will live in the world which the bible God promised never to destroy.

From my observation, I can say that JW is the most religious christian denomination followed by SDA and a few others. To be a good christian you must practice all the appropriate laws of the bible and also imitate the best man ever existed. Just like in Islam they imitate (try their best to imitate) Muhammad, a good christian should imitate their best example, Jesus Christ.

And like all prophets, they try to save the many souls they can, not by force but by passing on the divine words, the good news and it is the responsibility of every man to be well learned (of their religion) to spread the words of god to those who know not, to save as many souls as possible while having in mind that people will mock them at the door, close the door on their nose with foul words etc.

In fact christians should gladly give public testimony to scriptural truths according to the bible. None should be ashame to help people to live a more moral life thus creating a better society. Let noble thoughts come from everywhere. Below are some quotes from the bible which are my sources.

What do you mean?
Sorry you guys ahead of me are both misinformed. We DO believe only 144,000 are going to heaven. (Revelation 14:1-3) As verse 3 says, they are "bought from the earth." They will serve as priests and kings over the earth. (Revelation 20:6) This is where the rest of righteous mankind will live, on earth. (Psalm 37:11) Remember the Bible says God did not create it simply for nothing, but to be inhabited. This was his original purpose in the Garden of Eden and even though Adam and Eve sinned and lost that, his purpose never changed. That is why Jesus' ransom was so important, it bought back what Adam lost.

Primoa: James 2:26: "faith without works is dead." I would say works is important. We however, do not do works to "get into heaven" as you claim. I look forward to living on a paradise EARTH. Psalm 37:9, "those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth."

Christian93: If you are referring to Revelation 7, these cannot be the tribes of natural Israel because there never was a tribe of Joseph, the tribes of Ephraim and Dan are not included in the list here, and the Levites were set aside for service in connection with the temple but were not reckoned as one of the 12 tribes. See Numbers 1:4-16.

im not a j.witness, but a christian, but they believe that only a few 100 thousand people will enter the kingdome of heaven. They are sacrafising telling other people about the religion, so that God will see that they have done well, and will bless, them. There for they have done better in life and are more likley to enter Heaven.

The preaching work is performed because Jesus commanded it, not because it benefits Jehovah's Witnesses personally or as a religion. As a side point, Jehovah's Witnesses expect that many thousands of the 144,000 have never set foot in a Kingdom Hall or read 'The Watchtower'.

The fact is that the vast majority of Witnesses hope to enjoy life ON EARTH forever, rather than in heaven. Jehovah's Witnesses understand heaven to refer to the dwelling place of spirit creatures such as Jesus and the angels. They understand the Scriptures to teach that exactly 144,000 humans will join Christ Jesus as kings and priests to administer God's Kingdom (which will soon replace all earthly governments).
(Daniel 2:44) God of heaven will set up a kingdom... It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite
(Revelation 14:1) Lamb [Jesus] standing upon the Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand
(Revelation 20:6) they will be priests of God and of the Christ, and will rule as kings with him

The men and women who make up the 144,000 are selected by God from among two thousand years of Christians. Over whom will they rule? Over the vast majority of mankind, most of whom will have been raised from the dead after Armageddon.
(John 11:23,24) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.”

Hell is NOT someplace/something mankind needs to fear; there is no suffering in the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire

Almighty Jehovah God selects those few who have the heavenly calling. Each person "feels" his own hope and each person's hope remains unquestioned by his fellow Christians. Still the vast majority (literally more than 99.9%*) of Jehovah's Witnesses expect an EARTHLY hope, the same hope given to Adam and Eve.
(Genesis 1:28) God blessed them and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill THE EARTH and subdue it [caps added]
(Genesis 2:17) You must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die [so never eating from that tree means never dying]

Some people are confused about this "number." This refers to the Jews and keeping their lineage pure. There will be 12,000 Jews from each of the 12 tribes (144,000) who are preserved and chosen by God. That doesn't mean that is all that will be accepted into Heaven. There will be other Jews who come to know the Lord who will go to Heaven, and the same with Gentiles (such as me) who will go to Heaven.

These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. 5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God. 6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, 7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

i am a muslim and my aunt is a witness. she does not believe that there is only a certain number who are allowed into heaven. who ever is telling you this is just trying to stir up some more mess or is just changing things because they like to make mischeif.

Because there are 2 heavens. real heaven and heaven on earth. "Witnessing" increases your odds of getting into real heaven. So if you slam the door in their face, no worries, one less person ahead of them in line.

\as I understand it
