A Semitic word meaning “My Teacher.”
It may be that “Rabboni” was a more respectful form than “Rabbi,” which title of address means “Teacher,” or that it conveyed more personal warmth. (Joh 1:38)
However, when John wrote, this word had lost its special significance in the title, since John translates it as meaning merely “Teacher.”—Joh 20:16.

There is but One God , The Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We can learn from other good people as well. That is an answer. Anyone who does the work of God can be stepping stones to attain the grace needed to one day be with God. When good men wanted to build an altar to three who were present on the mountain and one was Jesus and one was Moses and the other Elijah the Father spoke and said Listen to my Son and the others disappeared. Jesus is the real way to attain salvation. We cannot equate other men with Jesus because of all of them He alone is God.
