my dog is a chihuahua, 1 year old. He has been limping for a moth now, but see i dont know if this is a serious problem.
I cant get money right away to take him to a vet, but I've been saving.

Might any one know what i could do for my dog?

you guys are making me feel so bad.

It is a rear leg and he does nothing when I touch his leg.

And well gosh I'm just going through some financial problems right now.

I do not know where those free vet places are. I dont think theirs any around here.

tiny dogs like that get their legs hurt really easely becasue they are so small, just jumping off a couch could break their legs, and if they dont heal correctly there could end up being really serious problems later in his life, so find a vet or shelter that can check over animals for free, or u can set up an installment plan so u dont have to pay oll the money at once, but u need to do something fast, before it is to late, and heals wrong

Call different vets and see if they can work out a payment plan with you. But get him to a vet. Or at least call one to see if you can give him baby aspirin. I have a Shih-Tzu, that limps on occassion, and we are in the process of testing for Lymes and other things. But my vet said I could give her 1 baby aspirin twice a day if she is uncomfortable. Dog is 3 years old and weighs 16 lbs. If your dog weighs half that or less, I would quarter the baby aspirin. But I would also call a vet and make sure that is OK to give it to him. It could be Lymes, and that can get pretty serious...

it shows that u care because u r trying to help your dog--
since your dog is so little he could be having circulation problems. or if in the cold he could have gotten frost bite.
either way you need to get him to a vet asap use what ever means you can-set up a payment plan with the vet

What leg is he limping on? If it is a rear leg, it could be a luxating patella (knee cap slips in and out of place). This usually requires surgery.

If you can afford a Net Connection you can afford a Vet so don't be cruel and stingy and take that poor little creature ASAP.
