Perfect question!
Of course a lot of them will deny it because of their egotistical notions that they would be among those few taken up. Their feelings would be "they didn't take me? It couldn't have happened!" Of course they will try and rationalize this, and may even look and find some bible passages they can use out of context to support their ideas. So they would deny it and wait to be taken up until their last breaths.
It's very possible that, if such a thing were to conceivably happen, it occurred already.

Not all Christians believe in the secret rapture doctrine, so your question is sort of pointless. Now if you had asked only those Christians who believe in the secret rapture this then it would make more sense.
However those Christians of the Reformed/Calvinst tradition believe that at the time of the rapture every eye will see Him, and that He will descend with a shout and the trump of God. To us, the rapture is one of the noisest, most visible events in all of history. So even if only 38 people were raptured, the rest of the world would know it because history would culminate with this event. Oh... that's right... those who do believe in the secret rapture also tend to believe in a 7 year tribulation that follows it, but there are many Christians who believe that at the time of the rapture the end of the age will come, the tribulation comes before the rapture. So you are only asking your question to a group of Christians, not ALL CHRISTIANS, but someone like yourself probably doesn't understand that, and so you generalize in your questions and assumptions, instead of researching facts and evidence.

That would not be the only clue that the rapture had already occurred! Read the book: The Rapture by Hal Lindsey...or Messiah by Grant R. Jeffery...To answer your question, you would be in for a very tough ride!

A true follower of Christ will not need to notice, for they will be raptured immediately (in the blinking of an eye) when Christ comes again.

Jesus is coming for all to see even non-Christians...
1 Thessalonians 4:15-17
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
BECAUSE HE SAID AS LISTED ABOVE HE IS COMING WITH A SHOUT AND ALL WE KNOW, UNBELIEVING (SOON TO BE BELIEVING) AND CURRENT BELIEVERS.

Ahh...yeah. The Bible (I know, you're booing already) records that when Jesus does come back, there will be trumpets blaring and the clouds breaking apart, and there will be no mistake in knowing that it happened.
