Anthropologists, Genetic Engineers, in short : all my fellow 'people of Knowlege'....We have always been discriminated since the 3 Monotheistic Faiths took over the control of our Planet, we've always been compelled to 'hide' and yet, dwell among believers, in order to protect and preserve our Knowlege = the Truth, as well as Mankind, saving it from becoming a hopeless slave to Religious Leaders. Our path, although directed to the very same goal = Knowledge, has always been an individual path, and that's been our strengh as well as our limit too; Isn't it about time that we all come together worldwide (no need for us to share our Knowledge preaching), simply uniting all the knots of our 'invisible' net, and materially stand up against this delirious religious fever that's been killing millions of people during the last 2000 years? Shouldn't we make our voice heard? Union makes Strenght;) Was just wondering...what do you think? Should we?;)....

I don't know how far you plan to go with this but simply showing that we exist and can't be converted is enough to make a statement. I would join an online atheist group but I wouldn't protest against religions. All I want, is conclusion with this madness of "you have to believe" and "god loves you and if you don't love him then we promise you he'll and torture". Someone should make an atheist support group or something. Religions have churches and frankly, I'm getting sick of hiding away to not be hurt.

I desire Christianity could exchange in that it may be extra in keeping with own concept than difficulty-free reality. What I recommend is, Christianity emphasizes the magnitude of having particular ideals, and having ideals opposite to those is a sin. It additionally speaks of the actuality being exterior of one's self in God. Many jap religions, like Buddhism, Jainism, and Hinduism, even nevertheless, are very distinctive from this. They rigidity looking reality in a single's own self, meaning that that's distinctive for each guy or woman. This component has made them a good distance much less missionary of a faith. As looking own reality is crucial to their ideals, it is not proper to them if others have self assurance some thing distinctive. Christianity, and Islam too, carry that there is in basic terms one reality that all people might desire to have self assurance. in case you have not got self assurance this, you're immediately a undesirable guy or woman, and on some activities, you're condemned to death. this attitude has led to the Crusades, the Spanish Armada, the French Wars of religion, Charlemagne's Saxon Campaigns, and an outstanding sort of different violent acts.

I think it is nice for some of us to meet with like minded people to have discussions. I also think in today's climate in the US (thats where I am, not sure if you are as well) where some radical religious groups are trying to impose their brand of belief and erode separation of church and state it is good to counteract that by belonging to organizations fighting it. The first link below is to the first ever non religious Americans lobby. The second to the American Humanists Association which has local groups where you can meet other humanists in almost all states. The third is an Atheist organization. The last is a group working towards protecting separation of church and state.

Couple points -
Scientists do seek knowledge and does seek truth , science does not claim truth , only knowledge
Religion does not concern itself with knowledge outside of itself, but only Truth.
Take it easy on religous people. They can be real cool and its realy not there fault.

Rather than go whole-heartedly into the frey, I have chosen to stop reproducing. As long as I don't have to make the world a better place for my children, I can just grin and bear it. And biotch on Yahoo, of course.

Religion doesn't really rule the world anymore. Big business and political special interests do. If ya wanna crucify someone go to DC.

Its like herding cats though, and to paraphrase a tail of Gaiman's.
'I'd like to see anyone, Leader, King or God convince 1000 cats to do anything together at all'
