you just punched 2 holes into cartilage....its' going to be pissed off-red and swollen. stop or DONT use peroxide or alcohol, read the bottle is says right on there NOT FOR USE IN PUNCTURE WOUNDS....people a body piercing is a puncture! try sea salt soaks and keep your hands off. Best advice is to go to a PROFESSIONAL piercing studio not claires or some like place to have piercings done by someone who actually knows what they're doing.

Try wetting a cotton ball with hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol and squeezing the solution over the piercing. Turn the earring a few times and use a q-tip to apply an antibacterial cream around the piercing and the earring. Do this a couple times a day. Good luck!

When I had mind done, twice, they did the same thing as yours. Both times they got red and swollen, and I couldn't stand the pain. They're now closed. You might want to take it out and do it some other place. Or keep wiping it with soap and water and putting bacitracin on it for a few days. If it works, good! If it doesn't, I'd take the thing out.

Yup, I would say that it is infected. Have you been cleaning it with alcohol twice daily? Is the metal the same as your other ear-piercings? Maybe you are allergic to the earring. Maybe you can clean with alcohol and apply a small amount of triple antibiotic to it and see if that does anything.
