My 6 yr old son colored on my new sofa with a black crayon. The sofa is red. Any ideas how to remove it?

Please don't use an iron anywhere near your microfiber fabric it will burn. I'm not sure about the crayon but I do know the fiber burns very easily. The previous answer scared me.
Good luck with that crayon.

Knowing the fiber and crayons I would call a professional cleaner or try the previous post answer of the mr clean eraser. Can't really hurt. Crayon will not be water soluable unless they are washable crayons check the package. If they are washable a wet white washcloth with a little dish soap should remove the stain. Be sure to remove all dish soap so don't use more than a dab. My son hasn't been into crayons on the couch since we've gotten the microfiber. Let us know how you do just in case we run into that.

I've read this somewhere and it makes sense to me. Cover the crayon marks with several layers of paper towels. Place a warm, not hot, iron on the paper towels and let sit for a few minutes. Be sure to check often to be sure the fabric doesn't get hot enough to melt. The heat should melt the wax of the crayon, which will be absorbed by the paper towel. Then clean with an upholstery cleaner deemed safe for your fabric. This also is supposed to work for candle wax. Another warning - be sure the iron bottom is completely on the paper towels, not touching the fabric.

I would say lay a piece of napkin on the spot and use an iron to get it out but I think that might leave a oil mark....I would agree with the first answer, a crayon remover....maybe a magic eraser!

The magic eraser is magic. It works on crayons everywhere. The toddler now understands that crayon on anything but coloring books is bad.
