Depends on the state. Typically NO. Why should the state support her? It isn't our responsibility. Go live with a friend, a relative, or stick with your parents.
In order to be emancipated, a teen must show valid reasons why she cannot remain with her parents AND must show that she is responsible enough to maintain school and pay all of her own bills. The state is not just going to let someone leave their parents home and then send them a check every month for expenses.
God, I hope no state supports this. I will be ripped.
If you really want to leave, talk to some other people you know. I'd be okay with a 16 year old moving in to my home if they were going to follow my rules and do chores to earn their keep.
Listen, I'm sure its horrible at home. Suck it up for two more years. You do not want to be supporting yourself, trust me on this one. I did all my own laundry, worked, and went to school. Lots of kids do this. Lots of kids are verbally and physically abused (not advocating this). If you are truly ABUSED call social services and get yourself placed with a relative or foster home. Otherwise, suck it up. The state will not support you.

If what you say is true, then you don't need help to live on your own, you need Child Protective Services that can help you live as normal a life as possible. I agree that you already do much for yourself, but as hard as it is for you to understand, you are not an adult. Legally there is so much that you cannot do. You won't like these words but you cannot live on your own until you're at least 18.
The exceptions are if you get married to a person 18 or older or if you run away. I'm not advocating running away cause that will only make a bad situation worse. Heck, you could end up being jailed as a run-away.
If you really are being abused, let somebody know' your teachers, your counselor, your priest or pastor, Child Protective Services or even just a cop you see on the street. They will attempt to make sure you're taken care of, but in no situation can anybody allow you to live on your own. Make up your mind and realize that is just not going to happen.
Good Luck!

Emancipation of minors is a legal mechanism through which a person below the age of majority gains certain civil rights, generally identical to those of adults. An emancipated minor is free of any authority from his or her parent or other legal guardian. The extension of these rights, as well as the remaining prohibitions, vary according to the jurisdiction.
In most countries of the world, adolescents below the legal age of majority may be emancipated somehow: through marriage, economic self-sufficiency, educational degree/diploma or pregnancy.
In some cases, parental consent is needed to achieve the "emancipated" status. In some cases, court permission is necessary.

If you are being abused, then you need to tell the authortities, and you will be removed from your home, confide in an adult you can trust to help you take the steps to get out of this situation.

Probably not. Most states require the emancipation age to be at the age of 18.

To become emancipated you need to be able to show how you can support yourself to the court. Welfare will not be considered as a means for support.

Even if it is legal in your state, you should be asking yourself if it is the *smart* thing to do, or if you are letting emotions cloud your judgement.
