You can download a 60 day free trial of office 2007 from Microsoft then when the trial expires you can download a 60 trial of office 2003.
Afterwards you can download excel viewer.

Nope. That's piracy, and a federal offense.
You can download a free alternative called Open Office from http://www.openoffice.org/ but if you want to use Excel then you'll have to purchase it or use a copy at school or on a computer where it's legally installed.

not sure about free office but star office is just as good and free. it has all the same functions.you can get it at..

You cannot get Mircosoft Excel for free, however there is a very similar program available free at http://www.openoffice.org/
