News flash - the way to win people to God is not to insult them. What happened to "they'll know we are Christians by our love?" Not by our insults, judgment, etc.
I interpret this verse to say that many might deny God (out of rebellion, disbelief, or yes, judgmental Christians), but in their hearts know that God exists. Those who don't know that in their heart are lacking the knowledge of God.

I think a national Atheist day would be a good idea.
And only Atheists would have the day off!
As for the Psalm, well what can I say? I know you are but what am I? Considering it comes from a time when slavery was an accepted fact of life, I'd take the opinion wit ha grain of salt.

It's such a transparent ploy to say that those who don't believe are fools. In reality, the 96% of eminent American scientists who are atheists would be likely to hold the opposite view, which is that it takes a rational, logical, and inquisitive mind to question that which others have accepted on faith. But for me to point that out would be argument ad populum, and we are discussing argumentum ad hominem here.
I will state that it is impossible to say anything in your heart. The heart does not think, it does not produce emotions. That is the brain's job.
I think, fool that I am, that April 1 should be National Theists Day, because April 1 is the day when people try to convince other people that things are true, when they are not.

It is evident that man still has much to learn about all forms of life on our earth. One fundamental barrier to accurate knowledge is the refusal of many scientists to accept the existence and the active role of a Creator-Designer. Paul Davies, professor of mathematical physics, wrote in his book The Mind of God: “There is no doubt that many scientists are opposed temperamentally to any form of metaphysical . . . arguments. They are scornful of the notion that there might exist a God, or even an impersonal creative principle or ground of being that would underpin reality .It's these ones that Psalm applies to, They know the truth about God yet because of their pride, deny it.

This is an example of a logical fallacy known as 'poisoning the well.' It is self-serving, arrogant, and quite frankly inconsistent with Christian compassion and tolerance. Islam makes the same kind of statement - i.e. anyone who doesn't follow our faith is a fool, dirty, evil, or whatever. So do many other religious and political groups, and it does nothing to foster unity or productive discourse.

No, it's Creationism Day.
What better way to show that you don't have to deny the existence of God to be a fool.

It just means that those who (brainwashed and blind-folded) see the Bible as the source of Enlightenment, feel better by reading that verse;) Let them enjoy, it takes so little to make them feel good;))))))) They're just like kids who believe in fairy-tales, with a difference though: children are innocent, because their ignorance is not a choice, but simply a lack of datas due to their young age; believers instead, CHOOSE not to see, ear and learn, picking ignorance instead of Knowledge;) and that's really really bad...for them, of course;) and for the world too, since their arrogant ignorance causes wars, where millions of innocents die.

Only fools believe every word in a book that's over two thousand years old and shot through with more contradictions and untruths that a George Bush speech.
Only a fool believes that a thing can be used to prove itself.
If J. K. Rowling writes in one of her Harry Potter books that "only a fool doesn't believe in wizards" that doesn't make them any more real.
